Virginia Ann (Raunig) Woods

Virginia Ann Woods, 90, passed on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Rosary/Vigil service will be Tuesday, August 17, at 6pm with visitation one hour prior. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, August 18, at 10:00 am. All services will be held at the Inverness Catholic Church. Burial following in Highland Cemetery in Havre at 1pm.

Virginia was born December 14, 1930 in Great Falls to Edward and Ann (Janosov) Raunig. She graduated as salutatorian from Chester High School in 1948 and went on to attend the College of Great Falls. Virginia worked for the Great Falls Baseball Club and Great Northern Railroad.

Virginia married Robert W. Woods on September 19, 1953 at St. Anne’s Cathedral.

Survivors include her three children, Greg (Elizabeth), Linda (Matt), and Scott (Kathy); grandchildren Lauren, Jocelyn, Matthew, Madeline, Andrew, and Emily; brothers, Don Raunig, Harold Raunig, and Dick Burrows; sisters, Kay Wojtala and Dianne Patrick; and sister-in-law, Kathie Raunig.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Woods and her brother, Joe Raunig.
