December 2, 1954 — November 8, 2021

Rudyard

Timothy Lee Kimmet, 66, of Rudyard, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls.

Tim was born December 2, 1954, in Cut Bank, MT, to Leo Lawrence and Theresa Diane (Kemmer) Kimmet.

Tim spent his childhood growing up in Cut Bank where he graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1973.  He was a farmer for life and loved working outside.  He passed on his love of farming and the outdoors to his children and grandchildren.

In 1977, Tim met the love of his life, Peggy Parker, and they married on June 17, 1978.  From this union they had four daughters Angie, Rachel, Becky, and Melissa.

Tim loved gardening and had an acre garden at the farm where he grew a large variety of produce.  He loved blessing others with this produce and helping those in need.  He grew enough pumpkins to give one to each elementary student at North Star Elementary, CJI Elementary, and the Chester Preschool, along with numerous other organizations and individuals on the hi-line.

He will mostly be remembered for his big smile, contagious laugh, and hugs.  To the world he was a father but to our family he was our world.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Diane; brother, Bart Kimmet; granddaughter, Skye Gulick; and nieces, Jillian Kimmet and Julie Kimmet Laverdure.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy of Rudyard; daughters, Angie (Casey Boley) Gulick of Inverness, Rachel (Chris) Berg of Kremlin, Becky (Chris) Haaland of Great Falls, and Melissa (Camron) Sullivan of Chester; grandchildren, Rian, Lucas, Katie, Michael, Michelle, Grace, Parker, Carston, Jadon, and Eli.  Siblings Tina (Joe) Gauthier, Bryan (Cindy) Kimmet, Lori (Brian) Roberson, and Sue (Sam) Huff; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Tim’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls for the excellent care he received and the love and support they showed all of us.

A private family celebration of life will be held Thursday, Dec 2, at 2:00pm.
