Obituary
Ruth Louise Wymer passed peacefully on Sunday July 19, 2020 in Fullerton, CA. She was 101 years old. She was the last surviving child of Arthur and Helen Scholz, pioneering homesteaders southeast of Shelby.
She was preceded by her parents, Arthur and Helen Scholz; brother, Edgar Scholz; and sisters, Dorothy Armstrong, Gladys Adamson, and Susan Virgin. Ruth is survived by her son, Steven Wymer daughters, Gail Melanio and Wendy Goffe; grandchildren, Megan Wymer, Monica and Michael Plante; along with numerous nieces and nephews,
Ruth will be remembered as a loving, generous mother, a loyal friend, and having a fierce independent and indomitable spirit.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby. A reception will follow at Shelby Comfort Inn.
