Mary Ann (Skeslien) Welker, 73 passed away June 11, 2019 at Marias Medical Center after a long battle with COPD. She was born June 22, 1945 in Conrad to Carl and Clara Skeslien.

Mary graduated from Shelby High School class of 1963.  Mary was very proud of being part of the Spinning Marvels (roller skating act 1957-1961) with Lynda Lux Johnson, Roxie Mitchell Allred and Kay Cockran Weiser. She married Howard (Blue) Welker on August 14th, 1963. They lived in Valier, Dupuyer and moved to Shelby in 1988. Family was very important in her life.  Mary was a member of the Living Faith Baptist Church.  Mary worked at Pat’s Diner and Wells Drug.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Blue; her son, Howie Welker; sister, Elaine (Dolly) Engles; and father, Carl Skeslien.

She is survived by son, Wade Welker of Shelby; daughter, Angie (Jason) Boyd of Great Falls; grandchildren, Taylor Stokes, Jase Stokes, Brynn Stokes, Jahna Welker, Kyle Welker; great granddaughter, Khloe Stokes; mother, Clara Skeslien; brothers, Curt (Connie) Skeslien and Ed (Barbara) Skeslien; sisters, Anna (Carl) Clark, Donna (Louis) Sanchez, and Diane (Ray) Stoker; and many nephew and nieces.

Memorial services will be June 17, 2019 at 1 pm, at Living Faith Baptist Church in Shelby.
