Lynne (Davis) Herschman

Cut Bank

Berna Lynne Herschman 82 of Cut Bank passed away October 14th at the hospice house in Great Falls after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

A memorial service will be held Thursday Oct 21st at 10:00am at the Catholic church in Cut Bank.

Lynne was born May 26th 1939 to Roger and Marge Davis in Polson. She was raised in Polson and graduated high school there.

On July 9th, she married the love of her life, Richard Herschman. Together they had four children, Chris, Cheri, Ann Marie, and Michael. They were happily married for over 61 years.

Soon after marriage, they moved to El Paso Tx, where Dick was stationed in the army. They also lived in Stockton California, before moving back to the Mission Valley. They took over Dick's parent's farm where they raised sheep. Lynne always had a soft spot for the bum lambs, and would bring them in the house to care for them. They then moved to Polson, where she worked at the hospital as a receptionist.

In 1974 the Family moved to Cut Bank. Lynne worked for many years at Memorial Hospital, for Dr. Jones, and as a substitute teacher.

An avid card player, she was in a pinochle group for over 30 years with lifelong friends.

Lynne is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cheri; and son, Michael.

Survivors include, her husband of 61 years, Richard; son, Chris (Sabine) of Germany, and Ann Marie (Glen) of Cut Bank; grandkids, Steven (Manuela), Daniel, and Jennifer (Markus) all of Germany, Tim (Tia) of Lewistown, Jordon of Cut Bank, Joshua and Seth of Albuquerque; great grandkids, Leni, Nick, Noah, and Dottie, all of Germany; and her brothe,r Marc Davis (Jo Ann) of Virginia.
