Lisa M. Loendorf

October 13, 1949 — April 28, 2020

Valier

Lisa Loendorf was born Agnes Lis Marie Peterson to her Swedish mother, Hedvig Frideborg Nilsson Peterson, and father, Edward LaVerne Peterson, on October 13, 1949 in Conrad. She passed away after a brief hospitalization on April 28, 2020 at Pondera Medical Center.  She graduated from the University of Montana with a Poly Sci  major and shared her political views, with vigor, throughout her life. There, she met her cherished husband, Ronald Leonard Loendorf, they were married in Valier in January 1976, and farmed north of town. To this union were born two sons, Vincent Ronald and Quin LaVern.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and beloved son, Quin, who died In August 2011.  Quin’s special friend, Katie Boumans, wrote for us all  ”I’m torn, I’m so heartbroken, but it is bittersweet. I’m sure that reunion had to be one for the books.”

Lisa is survived by her son, Vincent, of Great Falls; several cousins, (who included her as an extended sibling) in the US and in Sweden; Ron’s caring family and many kind friends.

Lisa will be remembered for her generosity and “That sneaky little grin and her words of wisdom,” as her special, lifelong pal, Bonnie Norsby Kronebush observed.

Rest in Peace, Lisa.
