Bobby Laydell Westerman, 63, of Conrad, passed away February 10, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Farmington, New Mexico, to Bobby Hill and Lawton Westerman. Better known as Laydell, he worked as a foreman for Keil Farms for 30 plus years. He loved to go fishing with his best friend, Gene Stratman, of Shelby. Laydell was well known for his love of drag racing.
Always with encouraging advice, he was a teacher of many things to many people, and will be greatly missed. He was a great father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
Laydell is survived by his children, Hope Westerman of Great Falls, Faith Westerman Stokes of Conrad, Jessie Westerman and daughter-in-law Kayla Jessie Westerman of Conrad; brother, Kerry Westerman of Ethridge; and sister, Laquita Thompson of Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Colby Clark, Jada Westerman, Kai Stokes, Leidella Stokes, Mia Westerman, Falon Westerman, Laylawni Westerman, Angel Evans; as well as three great-grandchildren. Laydell was loved by his friends, Darrell and Carla Stafford, Gene Stratman, and many others.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Laura Collins; mother, Bobby Hill; step-father, Virgil Hill; and father, Lawton Westerman.
