Carrie L. Seidlitz

Carrie was the daughter of Jess and Ada Flo Blair, and was born on December 1, 1929 in Havre, Montana.  She and her brother Cliff were the first twins born in the Havre Hospital.

Carrie, Cliff and Floyd Blair were raised on the Blair Ranch north of Lothair,and enjoyed the typical farm/ranch lifestyle of chores, hard and smart work, and being good neighbors.

Carrie went to elementary school at Eagle Creek, and later attended high school in Oilmont and Chester, graduating in 1947 from Chester High School.  After high school, Carrie enrolled in Beauty School in Missoula, Montana, and then worked in Hamilton and Helena.

On September 12, 1950, she married Joe Seidlitz at St Mary's Church in Chester, Montana.  Shortly after being married, she and Joe moved to Bainbridge, Washington where Joe was stationed with the Navy.  Following Joe's discharge from the military, Joe and Carrie returned to Chester, and Joe was a farmer and Carrie was a homemaker, and an outstanding homemaker at that.  During this time, they raised six children: Sharleen Pulst, Deb (Phillard) Balsley, Daryl Jean (Larry) Aaby, Joan (Jon) Boucher, Wendy Dauwalder and   Gene Seidlitz.

Carrie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  She is survived by her two Brothers, Cliff (Nell) Blair of Hobson, and Floyd Blair of Lewistown; Her six children, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carried enjoyed her time as a homemaker, a gardener, bird watcher, and collecting angels and hummingbirds.  And of note, she was an outstanding cook.  Her cinnamon rolls, buns, cookies and casseroles were her signature food items.

She loved her family, the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and when possible showered them with loving kindness and attention.  Carrie was fond of the phrase "Having Someplace To Go is Home, Having Someone To Love Is Family, and Having Both Is A Blessing".

Carrie passed away on November 7, 2018, at the Liberty County Nursing Home.  She was 88 years old.

Carrie was preceded in death by Joe Seidlitz, her husband, and her parents Jess and Ada Flo Blair; and great grandson, Michael.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 13, from 3 to 6pm. Vigil service will be at 7pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Funeral mass will be Wednesday, November 14, at 10AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
