William Justin Pruet, 59, passed July 11, 2020 at his home in Shelby.

Bill was born November 2, 1960 to Bennett and Hazel Pruet at the Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico.  He attended school in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School in 1978.  Bill went to work in manufacturing and heavy equipment operating.  He worked at the Crossroads Corrections Center and many years for the Toole County Road Department.

Bill was a member of several music bands including Duece Coupe, Up North, Hot Flash & The Chrome Domes, and Pink Cadillac. Along with playing his guitar he was an avid reader especially westerns and James Patterson novels.  Bill was passionate about teaching children and loved spending time in the mountains fishing and hunting. He had an “electric” soul, vibrant, friendly, outgoing, and talked to everyone. Bill’s smile was infectious!
