Willie Wilson

Walter “Willie” Wilson, 75, of Sunburst, passed on March 30, 2026.

Willie was a proud member of the Sunburst community and enjoyed helping the community out. He was an Air Force veteran belonging to both the local VFW. Willie loved his hobbies of being a umpire, ref, and coach. He was part of the US Customs and Border Patrol for many years until retiring. Willie went on to work for NTCHS and retired in June 2025.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce A. Wilson; parents; brother; and 2 sisters.

Survivors include daughter, Shiloh Wilson( grandchildren, Kyle Wilson, Devon Wilson and great grandchildren, Kamen Wilson, Khaza “Charlie” Wilson, and Annabell Knuth, grandsons, Joseph Mischel and great grandchild, Sahkari Mischel, grandson, Odin, granddaughter, Emmily Joubert); daughter, Chelsea N. Warburton, (granddaughter, Sonya Zamarripa and great grandchild, Kahlil Crenshaw, Azai Crenshaw, Kahlani Crenshaw, and Malakia Darby); and daughter, Barbara Welter,(granddaughter, Isabella Welter-Vasquez); and son, Joshua Wilson (granddaughter, Makayla Arcand).

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 23, at 2:00 pm at Sunburst Community Hall. A potluck will follow the service.
