Thomas C. Habets, 76, of Ethridge, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Great Falls.
Tom was born on April 20, 1942 in Conrad to Louis and Alice (Wittmier) Habets. He was a Certified Public Accountant and business man until retiring in 2000. Tom then enjoyed a quiet life on the farm, spending time with Dorothy and visiting his two children in Vancouver, WA.
He loved the outdoors and had many fond memories of camping with his brother Bill as a child and passed on that love to his own kids. He loved spending time at Flathead lake at the cabin and going to plays at the Playhouse in Big Fork. He has always enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He had a gentle spirit but was firm when it came to business or values he believed in most. He had the patience of a saint as there was nothing that seemed to ruffle his feathers. He is leaving us with many beautiful memories and life lessons of how to live a simple and kind life.
He leaves behind a loving partner of 23 years, Dorothy Curry; and four children, Brett (Andrea) Habets, Kelli (Mike) Burgad, Garrett Habets, and Carla (Warren) Pratt; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Gary, Keith, Doug, and Sid; sisters, Nadine and Darlene.
He is preceded in death by father and mother and brothers, William and Dennis.
Tom was a hard-working, patient, kind man. A man of few words that left an unspoken warm impression on all who knew him.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 17, at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Cemetery.
