Syble Verlane (Sigurdson) Osler, age 90, of Shelby, MT, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 15, 1933, in Raymond, WA, to the late Hemp and Essie Wood. Syble was the youngest of seven children.
In 1950, Syble married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) J. Sigurdson, and together they welcomed six daughters into the world. They raised their daughters in Shelby until Richard's passing in 1972. In 1983, Syble found love again and married Edmund (Johnnie) Osler.
Syble was known for her vibrant spirit and her dedication to her community. She was an active member of the VFW auxiliary and cherished her time singing in the church choir. Syble also enjoyed hosting and attending card club gatherings with friends.
Among her many hobbies, Syble found joy in solving puzzles, creating beautiful embroidery, and crafting handmade cards for her loved ones. Her creativity and thoughtfulness touched the lives of many. Syble was an avid Seattle Mariners fan.
Syble will forever be in the hearts of her loving daughters: Coni (Patrick) Thorn, Kathey (Clinton) Pike, Peggy (Ken) Robertson, Penny (Randy) Pike, Pam (Rodney) Burgess, and Christine Sigurdson. Syble’s family includes eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of donor's choice in memory of Syble is encouraged.
