Steven Thomas Current, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Shelby on September 15, 2017.
Memorial services will be Friday, Sept 22, at 1PM at Whitted Funeral Chapel Shelby.
Steven was born September 1, 1948 in Dodge City, Kansas to Bill and Pat Current. After graduating from Shelby High School, he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged Steven worked for one year as an electrician at McMurdo Research Station, South Pole. Until he retired he was a proud member of the IBEW 714.
He enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and neighbors. One of his favorite past times was riding on his Harley.
Survivors include stepson, Jeff (Jen) Heilman and their 2 children of Wilton, ND; stepdaughter, Tammy Bauman and her 2 children of Elk River, MN; former wife and friend, Judi Current (Ron) of Pembine, WI; longtime family friend, Edna (Scooter) Schutte; and many special friends and neighbors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Pat; and son-in-law, Ron Bauman.
Steve gave to too many charities to mention. Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors, Great Falls Rescue Mission, St. Jude's, or Special Olympics.
