He was born Jan. 21, 1953 to Ronald E. Mullikin and Barbara (Varner) Mullikin in Davenport, IA. He moved with his family to California as a small child and later graduated from Upland High School in 1971. Ron is preceded in death by both parents, and his older sister, Connie Mullikin Trudeau. Ron moved from California to northern Idaho in 1983 and held various jobs until settling with Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane, WA until retirement.

Ron was a man larger than life, had a keen sense of humor, a quick wit, and loved making people laugh, instantly putting them at ease. He was personable and friendly with strangers and easy to engage in conversation, especially regarding his hobbies. Ron was known to always lend a hand when asked and was generous with his time whether it be family or stranger.

Ron was an avid and extremely knowledgeable outdoorsman and loved fishing with his family, hunting, and target shooting. He loved spending time outside, particularly in the mountains. He loved going for picnic drives and viewing majestic scenery and wildlife. He respected nature, wildlife preserves, and he enjoyed landscaping and doing yardwork. He never shied away from hard work and was frequently complimented on having the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. He had always wanted to live in Montana and was looking forward to new hunting and fishing expeditions, exploring the area and meeting the locals.

Ron loved his family and in turn was deeply loved and will be forever missed. “You were the center of my world, the love of my life. Nothing can fill the huge void in my heart left by your absence. May God be with you until we meet again.”
