Reta Joy Stokes

Reta Joy (Harwood) Stokes, 92, passed on April 15, 2026 at Logan Health Conrad.

Reta was born September 21, 1933 and lived all her life in the Valier/Conrad area. She and her husband, Dan, along with son, Danny (Cindy) owned the Keg Family Restaurant for many years.

Reta loved flowers, birds, playing pitch, music, and playing the piano beautifully. Most of all she loved her family and they all loved her TMD (truly, madly, deeply).

Survivors include daughters, Loretta Strand, Rhonda Wisner, Connie (Dick) Oelrich, and Tina Klette (Randy Haynes); 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends that she cherished.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan; sons, Dan and Tom; daughter-in-law, Cindy Stokes; sons-in-law, Bill Wisner and Terry Strand; parents, Tom and Ruby Harwood; birth mother, Edna (Kennedy) Harwood; sisters, Carma Adamson, and Joan Layne; and brother Jay Harwood.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 25, at 2:00 pm at Lakeview Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at Valier Civic Center.
