Reba L. Donnell, 85 of Brady, a retired clerk for the Brady School District, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the extended care unit of the Pondera Medical Center in Conrad of natural causes. Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Donnell of Shelby, a son, Mark Donnell of Great Falls, and a brother Thomas (Sue) Gollehon of Fairfield.
She is preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Reba was born May 20, 1927 on the family homestead to Oscar & Claire (Young) Gollehon. She graduated from Brady High School and attended MSU Northern College in Havre for a time.
Reba worked as clerk for the Brady School System for 34 years, retiring in 1989. She also served as the secretary for the Brady Water District for many years.
She was an active member of the Brady United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Reba’s most treasured thing in life was her family, and she enjoyed telling them stories of her life and of past local history. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed working in her yard. She also loved helping her daughter with yard work and school teaching duties.
The family suggests memorials to the Brady United Methodist Church.
