Phillip Gaudet

September 24, 1943 — December 13, 2017

Phillip Lee Gaudet, 74, of Shelby Montana passed away of natural causes on December 13th in the comfort of his home.  Phil was born in Box Elder, Montana to Lucille Flatness and Felix Gaudet, and was raised by Alice and A.W. Hobbs, who he looked to as his mother and father. Phil lived most of his adult life in Glasgow, Montana, where he worked for Coca Cola.  He moved to Shelby in 2006, where he spent the remainder of his years. Phil also served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war and was a mechanic for fighter jets.  He spent much of his time in the Navy stationed in Alaska and California.  He was a very patriotic man.  Phil always had a smile on his face and showed kindness to those around him.  He never had a bad word to say about anyone and he was liked by all who met him. Phil loved playing cards and attending his annual Whist tournament, as well as watching his football team, the San Francisco 49ers.  He was a loyal fan, through good times, though few, and tough times (which was most of the time!)  Phil is survived by his two daughters Lacey Volk (Casey) and their 2 children Acasia and Treysen of Billings MT and Sarah Neiwert (Alex) of Pocatello, Idaho.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to nephew Mike and niece Julie Dyrdahl, as well as his friend Chuck at Maria’s Manor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially his children and grandchildren. Memorial services to be held spring of 2018.
