Peter F. Bachmeier

Peter F. Bachmeier, 97, of Cut Bank, died of natural causes on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Glacier Care Center.

Pete was born May 20, 1920 to Mike and Katherine (Shiele) Bachmeier.  He married Kay Heinrick on August 17, 1943 in Towner, ND. They settled in Conrad, MT in 1949 for 2 years, before moving to Cut Bank.  Pete was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include brothers, Louie (Hanna) Bachmeier  of Great Falls and Leo Bachmeier of Cut Bank; sisters, Christine Hagen of Conrad, Margaret Devoogdt of Devil’s Lake, ND, and Rose (Bob) Monroe of Conrad; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Kay, in 2012; his parents; three sisters; and two brothers.

Vigil services will be held Monday, April 30, at 6:30 at  St. Margaret Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be Tuesday, May 1, at 11:00AM at church. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
