Perry Randall Harris, 61, of Conrad, Montana left this earth on the 18th of January, 2026.
Perry was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 3rd, 1964, to Perry and Bonnie Harris. Perry grew up in San Fernando and graduated from Sylmar High School in 1982, where he served as the Senior Class President. Perry’s high school friendships remained very important to him throughout his life. Perry went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in business from St. Mary’s College.
Perry served an LDS mission in the Santiago, Dominican Republic Mission, from 1983-1984. He often returned to that experience as a source of inspiration and a tool for teaching.
Perry met his wife and best friend Alicia at a singles gathering in the Sacramento area. They were sealed for time and all eternity on March 16th, 2019, in the Mount Timpanogas Temple in America Fork, Utah. They were married for almost 7 years.
Perry loved working with people; he worked as an insurance broker for more than 25 years. He served as the President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Sacramento for 5 years. After moving to Conrad in 2022, Perry was able to fulfill a life long dream of being a small business owner when he and his wife Alicia purchased a health store in Conrad and brought to life the Healthy Dragon. Perry was often found visiting with neighbors and friends in the store. Everyone who met Perry treasures memories of his open laughter and ability to befriend them instantly, showing Perry’s genuine care and interest in them. Perry had a strong sense of the importance of community, instilled in him by his father’s example.
Perry and Alicia began serving as temple workers in the Helena Montana Temple in 2023. Perry loved his time spent there and served with dedication and devotion to his Father in Heaven and those on the other side of the veil.
Perry was an avid fan of athletics. His children will always say Perry was their biggest fan, and never missed any of their swim meets, water polo games, soccer games or baseball games, no matter how busy he was. From coaching his children’s athletic teams, to cheering for the USC Trojans, Perry was always following a sporting event. In recent years Perry enjoyed spending his time supporting the local Conrad High School sports teams.
One of Perry’s lifetime loves was food. He loved to travel to new places and take his children and grandchildren to find “good eats” wherever they were. Perry could always be counted on to find the local hole-in-the-wall diner, and never passed up a trip to In-N-Out.
Perry is survived by his wife Alicia, his children, Matthew (Larken) Harris, Heidi (Blake) Simpson, Tyler (Emily) Harris, and Madison Harris, as well as the mother of his children, Marianna Lilley.
He was a proud grandfather to Kitt and Hansel Harris, Reese and Max Simpson and Anson Harris. His grandchildren were a source of immense joy in his later years. He did all he could to ensure they developed a lifetime love of the LA Dodgers and Disneyland.
Perry is preceded in death by his father, Perry Ruddell Harris, his mother Bonnie Harris, his brother, Martin (Marty) Harris, and Grandma Verda, who proudly claimed him as hers.
Services were held Saturday, January 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial followed in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Fairfield.
