Patricia (Pat) L. Moench, 60, of Shelby, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Marias Medical center due to cancer. Visitation is Tuesday, April 19, from 1:00 until 6:00 pm at the Whitted Funeral Chapel, followed by a vigil service at 7:00 pm at St. William Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 20, at St. William Church followed by burial in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters, Terri Jo (Tim) Baney and Tun (Josh) McCracken both of Shelby; sons Richard Moench and Brandon (Kaela) Moench both of Shelby; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Alicia and Joshua Baney, Thane, Malori & Alexis McCracken, Caiden & Payton Moench; sisters, Marjorie (Al) Potts and Connie Griffin, both of Browning; brothers, William Griffin of East Glacier, Freddie D. Starr Griffin, Ted (Joy) Griffin and Lloyd (Margaret) Racine, all of Browning.
She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Asha Moench; mother, Josepine Racine; fathers, Lloyd Racine Sr. and Edward Griffin Sr.; sisters, Betty L. Red Fox, Dawn M. Bloomquist and Dale A. Griffin; and brothers, Edward Griffin Jr. and Bobbie Schultz.
Pat was born August 2, 1950 at Browning to Ed & Josephine (Bad Old Man) Griffin where she was raised and educated. She married Terry Moench January 14, 1969; they later divorced.
Pat enjoyed fishing, camping and watching her favorite football team, the Washington Red Skins. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
