Pat Browne, 75, of Conrad, passed away Saturday, August 25, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center after a long illness surrounded by family. Pat was born to Lester and Ann Hicks on October 4, 1942 in Akron, Ohio and moved to Conrad when she was three.  She graduated from Conrad High School and soon after married Walter Browne.  They moved to Houston, Texas where she worked secretarial and data entry jobs and later moved to Louisiana where she worked as a bank teller.  Her husband, Walter, passed away in 1986.  In 1991, after her father’s death, she moved to Conrad to help take care of her mother.  In Conrad she worked as a bank teller for Wells Fargo, and later for the Department of Public Health and Human Services, and most recently for Closet Consignment until her death.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Browne; her parents, Lester and Ann Hicks; and her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Art Fladstol.

Survivors include by her sister, Kathie (Larry) Vanover of Manhattan, MT and her brother, Bob Hicks of Conrad; along with nieces, Kari (Tim) Kamps of Churchill, MT and Heidi (Kevin) Brown of Puyallup, WA; nephews, Richard (Kay) Fladstol of Belgrade and Steven (Teri) Fladstol of Tillamook, OR; along with numerous great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Conrad Mission Church on Thursday, August 30, at 11:00 AM.
