In a galaxy not so far away, on August 30, 2023, we bid farewell to a true Jedi of life, Patrick Mark Tailfeathers.
Born on December 31, 1967 and raised in Browning, MT , Mark's journey began on earth in a humble town, but his spirit soared amongst the stars. Mark's early years were a training ground for greatness. A graduate of Browning High School in 1986, he honed his skills at Northern Montana College and the University of Montana, forging a path of knowledge as vast as the Outer Rim. As he navigated the galaxies of his career, Mark became a skilled Pharmacy Tech at IHS Browning Hospital, where he served with dedication and compassion, touching the lives of many.
In his spare moments, Mark found solace in the galaxy far, far away. A devoted Star Wars enthusiast, he explored the epic battles of light and dark, always finding inspiration in the heroes and villains of this timeless saga. Yet, Mark's heart held more than just stars and saber battles. He had a passion for firearms, reveled in the timeless classics of '70s music, and shared an unbreakable bond with his loyal companion, Freya the cat.
But perhaps Mark's greatest triumph was the love he shared with his beloved Williamina, whom he married on Aug. 9, 1990. Together, they embarked on a journey that was nothing short of legendary. Mark's legacy extends to his family, where he was not just a father but a guiding star.
He leaves behind his daughters and son: Morgan Tailfeathers of Browning, Meghan (Brandon) Berthelson of East Glacier Park, Molly Tailfeathers of Browning and Cody Montes of Browning. He is survived by his mother, Merle Birdrattler, who always provided the steady hand of wisdom.
In the grand tapestry of his life, Mark is reunited with those who have gone before him, including his father Melvin Tailfeathers, his siblings Ron, Romona, and Melvin Jr., and his cherished niece, Jennifer Crossguns.
Yet, Mark's force lives on through his sisters Janice and Joan Tailfeathers, his cherished grandchildren Noah Berthelson, Adia Bullshoe, David Tailfeathers, Harvey-Jones Harrison-Woolf, Kaiden Montes and Katrina Montes. along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who carry the torch of his memory.
In the end, Mark Tailfeathers was not just a fan of the Boston Red Sox, but a true champion of life's most precious moments. He was a loving husband, father, and friend who will forever be etched in the stars of our hearts. May the Force be with him, always.
A wake for Mark will be at Glacier Homes Center starting on Tuesday Evening. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, September 8 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Browning. He will be laid to rest at Willow Creek Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Asper Funeral Homes, Cut Bank.
