Marilyn M. Moritz

December 23, 1946 — December 29, 2017

Marilyn Snortland Moritz graced this worlds presence on December 23rd i1946! She was the youngest of four born to Fannie (Garner) and Walter Snortland. She was a mischievous child who liked adventures like ringing the Catholic Church bell, wiping muddy hands on neighbors clean sheets, helping chickens get drinks(drowning them) and having birthday parties with her sister Barbara causing the burning down of a barn! Her big brother thought she made Dennis the Menace look like a sissy! Marilyn’s biggest and proudest accomplishments were marrying her sweetheart Jack Moritz August 6th 1966, the births of her three daughters and her grandchildren!

Marilyn loved to do ceramics, paint, garden, play the guitar and banjo and go camping with family and friends! Many will recall her singing Rocky Mountain Oysters with great animation!

She was involved in Jaycees for years and acted in many Pondera Player plays! She had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time puttering in her garden! Marilyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack Moritz, her daughters Denese (John) Calahan, LeAnn (Shawn) Appley, Jodie (Neil) Weisgram, grandchildren; Kaylee and Jackson Appley, Owen Calahan, Taya Weisgram, Jackie (Orrin) Mullennax, and Shawn Weisgram; four great granddaughters; sisters Shirley (Norman) Stordahl; Barbara (Mel) Aakre; brother Everett (Georgia) Snortland; brother and sister in laws; Karen Beard, Joyce Wennerberg, Donna Diedrich, Ray (Freda) Moritz, Gary (Barbara) Moritz, Linda (June) VandenBos, David (Pam) Moritz, Janice (Bill) Kropp, and Bill (Jewel) Moritz; many nieces and nephews, special friends Linda Duncan and Jean Baringer and all her camping buddies.
