Gildford

Margaret Pearl (Wood) VandeSandt, 90, passed away surrounded by family at Logan Health Care Center Chester, on June 15, 2025.

She was born September 18, 1934 to Fredericka and Curtis Wood in Havre, MT.

Margaret married the man she would love for 72 years, Bud VandeSandt, on October 18th 1952.

Margaret’s faith guided her as she was an active member of Goldstone Lutheran Church and New Beginnings for many years. She taught Bible school, Sunday school and lead many Bible studies. She was an officer in the WELCA and a 4-H leader for many years. Margaret did door to door collecting for the American Cancer Society, a cause dear to her heart. She had a great love for family and taught them to love and care for others unconditionally. Being a mother and grandmother was one of her greatest joys and she spent many hours on her knees praying for us all. She was a homemaker, MOM, and great cook. She always had time for listening and had a special talent for making everyone feel important and loved. She was funny and kind.

Survivors include (husband) Bud VandeSandt, (son) Keith (Lynda) VandeSandt of Inverness and (daughter) Glenda (Rick) Pester of Rudyard, special family: Peggy Huestis, Bonnie Huestis, Cindy Keaster, five grandchildren - Curtis, Bob, Skyler, Ben and Tia along with several great grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Williams of Kremlin, Virginia Jones of Great Falls and Brother Richard Wood of Detroit.

Margaret is preceded in death by brothers Ken Wood, Clarence Wood, Louis Wood, great-grandson Gavin VandeSandt, special family Debbie (Huestis) Anderson, Mary (Huestis) Hutchinson, and Diana Huestis.

Thanks to the long list of caregivers, for your care given to Mom during the last 2 ½ years. You are some very special people.
