Lois B Rimel

Lois Blanche George Rimel, 99, a homemaker and teacher from Cut Bank, passed away at the Glacier Care Center September 27, 2011. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday October 26 at the First Presbyterian Church. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by nieces, Eileen (Allen) Thompson of Stone Wood, WA, and Blanche Sands of Woodville, WA; and friend and caregiver Bill Hagen of Cut Bank. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Rimel.
Lois was born January 3, 1912 at Miles City to Herbert and Sarah (AGilman) George. She graduated from Missoula High School in 1930 and in 1935 graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in home economics.
She married Ray Rimel May 27, 1946 and lived in Hardin and Worden before moving to Cut Bank in 1954 where Ray was high school principal for many years. She was active in community affairs and the Eastern Star and a long time member of the Presbyterian Church where she and Ray served as Skippers of the Presbyterian Mariners together.
She was a cat and dog lover and had several loving pets over the years. She also enjoyed camping and traveling.
