Lee Jacobsen

August 16, 1931 — May 8, 2026

Cut Bank

Mary Leola Pinord came into this life along with her twin sister Mary Lou on August 16, 1931, in La Push Washington. She was a force to be reckoned with since birth, Independent and never wasted a minute up to her time of death May 8, 2026.

She was one of 4 girls and always felt she should be her father’s side kick, building, camping, fishing, and hunting. She had many skills that she passed on. After graduating with a diploma of nursing degree she left for Montana to take care of her G’ma Miller in Conrad in March 1953. She met and married Henry the same year on November 7, 1953. Henry and Lee built their first home, next to the home Henry grew up on north of Cut Bank. They were blessed with 5 children. They later moved to Seville Flat to start their own ranch/farm operation and raise their family in 1962.

Life was her passion: serving, sharing, loving, and caring for others. She loved life keeping it full of family, friends, nursing, projects, hobbies, organizations. Painting, photography, making dried arrangements, Ukrainian egg decorating, 4-H leader-chaperone-judge, CYO- Religious education teacher, 1st woman AI tech, East Slope Tax Association, Cowbells, Montana Storytelling Conference and sharing it with everyone she could, singing whenever she could, coordinating community gatherings for Seville Flat from ice skating to picnics and bond fires by the river. She loved playing games, cards, board games, and especially with the grandkids (creating lots of lasting memories). And much more that filled her life with happiness and joy. If you were a part of her life you became family, you knew exactly where you stood, as she never left anything unsaid. She said what was in her heart and let you know, whether you liked it or not, it was meant for your benefit out of love.

Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Henry A. Jacobsen; son, Stephen (Jake); Son-in-law, Don Berezay; Twin sister, Mary Lou Fairchild; sisters, Jean Olson and Beverly Cadoo. Parents Edward Pinord & Mary Louise Bennett.

Her legacy is in who she left behind. Survived by children: Janice Berezay of Choteau, Martin (Patty) Jacobsen of Cut Bank, Barb (Ron) Kerouac of Salt Lake City, and Debbie Jacobsen of Cut Bank, Daughter-in-law Kathy (George) Fahrenbruck of Forsyth.
