Laurie Grimm

October 6, 1962 — April 24, 2025

Cut Bank

Laurie Grimm passed on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

Laurie Mae Grimm was born October 6, 1962 in Cut Bank to Robert and Betty Grimm. Laurie joined siblings Ken and Diane. Later, sisters, Kay, Nancy, and Jeannie would follow.

Laurie attended school in Cut Bank High School graduating in 1982. She later went to Fashion Merchandising School in Missoula. Among the many jobs she had Laurie enjoyed selling Mary Kay cosmetics. She really wanted to drive a pink Cadillac. She also worked at Super 8 Motel in housekeeping, cared for elderly people in need, and merchandising at grocery stores. Laurie enjoyed Bingo, jigsaw puzzles, listening to all sorts of music, and Diet Pepsi. Her favorite color was purple. Laurie loved to drive but didn’t have a driver’s license until she was 27. Laurie fit in with everyone and years ago traveled with retired people on tour buses to see parts of the country that she wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

In the summers Laurie loved to go to the mountains, especially to Aunt Pat’s cabin. She loved huckleberries in all sorts of foods. She traveled to Quartzsite, Arizona with Mike and her dog, Buddy, for the last 5 years in the winter.

Laurie was a VFW Auxiliary member and enjoyed putting out flags on veteran’s graves each Memorial Day. She was the family historian who knew birthdates, anniversaries, and weddings for two or three generations of relatives and friends. She was always willing to help someone in need. There were no strangers in Laurie’s world, only people she hadn’t met yet.

Laurie was survived by her dad, Robert Grimm; brother, Ken (Sharon) Grimm; sisters, Diane Grimm, Kay Grimm, Nancy (John) Lourenco and Zoe (Ryan) Jones; her boyfriend, Mike Spencer; her dog, Buddy; and good friend, Anna Hall.
