Kenneth Judine Klette, 87, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at PMC Extended Care surrounded by family and friends.
Kenneth was born in Conrad on January 19, 1932 to Thomas and Annie (Edwards) Klette. He served and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force. Kenneth then married the love of his life, Shirley P. Dobner, on March 16, 1957. They had one son, Mike.
He was a life member of the VFW Post #7655 and served as Commander and District Commander. He was also a member of the American Legion. Kenneth belonged to the Loyal Order of the Moose where he attained the highest degree in the fraternity, the Pilgrim Degree of Merit. He also served as Deputy Supreme Governor of Montana.
Kenneth worked for the US Postal Service in Conrad as postal clerk for 26 years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Shirley; son, Michael (Gail) Klette; granddaughter, Jennifer (Cory) Mosley and their children, Noah and Ileigha of Conrad; and granddaughter, Jessica Klette (Mike Wermling) and their children, Hadlee and Adalyn of Great Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin, Casper, Thelmer, Martin, Joseph, and Arthur; nephews, Vernon, Tom, and Marvin; and in-laws, Gladys and George Dobner.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made in Kenneth’s name to the PMC EC, VFW, or charity of choice.
Memorial services will be Monday, August 12, at 11:00 AM at the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church in Conrad. Burial in Hillside Cemetery. A reception at the Conrad Moose Lodge will follow the burial.
