Kenneth Ray Christenot, 83, of Chester, passed on March 30, 2026, surrounded by love and family.
Ken was born on February 11, 1943, in Cut Bank, MT, to Harley and Helen Christenot. He grew up in a close-knit Montana family alongside his brothers, George, Kelly, and Gale, and his sisters, Gwen and Ella. After graduating high school, Ken proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as a journeyman carpenter.
Ken was also a proud and dedicated member of the American Legion, where he served form many years. His commitment to fellow veterans and his community reflected the same sense of duty and loyalty he carried throughout his life.
Ken married Linda Kay Christenot, and together they raised three sons: Kenneth R., Lorence Wade, and Jason Paul. Family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Ken was a man of simple joys and steady passions. He loved reading, fishing, football, NASCAR, and taking family trips to Glacier National Park. Those who knew him will remember his quiet strength, his loyalty, and the way he found meaning in the everyday moments of life.
He is preceded in death by his parents; many beloved uncles and aunts; nephews taken too soon; and his sons, Lorence and Jason.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; his son, Kenneth R.; his siblings, George, Kelly, Gale, Gwen, and Ella; and numerous extended family members who will carry his memory forward.
A service honoring Ken’s life will be held on May 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Asper/Rockman Funeral Home in Chester.
