Keith Daniel Smith, age 47, of Browning, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at home. A wake will be held from Thursday evening, August 20, to Saturday, August 22, at Glacier Homes Center in Browning. A graveside service will be held at the Show Family Cemetery at the family ranch at 2:00 on Saturday, August 22.

Keith was born November 12, 1978, in Browning. He attended school in Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. He learned to ski in Alaska at Alyeska Resort. After moving back to Montana, he was known for skiing the famous Bridger Bowl “Ridge” as an expert skier.

He loved the outdoors. He fished, hiked, rode mountain bikes, snowmobiles, ATVs, and was an avid horn hunter. He was brave enough to jump out of a perfectly good airplane as a skydiver. As a hobby, he built and drove radio-controlled vehicles. He enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks, NASCAR, old westerns, and YouTube on TV.

Keith was a kind-hearted, respectable man to family, friends, and animals.

Keith is survived by his parents, Duane and Elaine Smith; uncles Dan (Cindy) Smith, Gordon (Faith) Smith, and Dale Minyard Jr.; aunts Janice Lofland, Geri Fox, Cindy Show, Cheri Snow; and numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents Jack and Jean Smith and Jerry and Helen Show.

Keith will be dearly missed by family and friends. Rest easy, son. Someday we will meet again.
