Kathleen (Kimmet) Vasboe

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Vasboe on September 4, 2023, age 72.  She was born on January 19,1951 to Tony and Lois Kimmet in Shelby.

Kathy was a cherished wife and mother. She will be deeply missed by many family and friends. 

Kathy lived a remarkable life, she was proud of her time as the president of the Glacier Electric board for many years. Her main passion was helping to build the cow herd into one of the best herds you will see today. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandson and was always happy for everyone to gather around her table. She enjoyed camping at the creek north of Browning and tending to her yard. Whenever the new bull sale books came out you could find her with a highlighter in hand studying the best EPDs and genetics anyone could find. Anyone who knew her knew she loved to brag about all her grandchildren any chance she got. 

 Kathy Vasboe is survived by her husband, Jay Vasboe; son, Shane (Desirae) Vasboe and daughter, Joey Vasboe; grandchildren, Dylan (Hannah) Vasboe, Dayne Vasboe, Tracer (Sara) Walter, Regan Walter, Dawson Vasboe; great grandson, Hayze Vasboe; six sisters; and two brothers. She was predeceased by her parents, Tony and Lois Kimmet.

 A funeral will be held on September 12th at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 2:00, with a social to follow in the church reception hall.  Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Kathy's life.
