John William Wood

John William Wood was born June 21, 1939, in Royalton, Minnesota to Daniel and Mildred Wood. John grew up and worked on the family farm and moved to Montana in 1956 where he worked for Gordan Twedt south of Rudyard. He worked at a hunting camp in the Augusta area during hunting season. After several years, John settled at the Siemens Ranch on the Marias River where he worked most of his adult life. John worked with Joe Horel for several years prior to retiring. John enjoyed hunting and spoke often of the good times hunting with his nephews and friends. John was a great help and a faithful friend. John Wood passed away on October 8, 2023, at the Liberty County Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
