John W. Nowlin
August 19, 1956 — May 28, 2017
John William Nowlin passed away on Sunday, May 28, at the age of 60, as the result of a farm accident on the ranch west of Dupuyer. John was born August 19, 1956, in Choteau to parents, James W. and Laura Nowlin of Dutton. After he finished school, he worked on the family farm west of Dutton. He was part of Nowlin Brothers Custom Combining for several years. He then drove over the road for Swift Trucking, delivered fertilizer for CHS Conrad, and finally quitting that to manage the ranch.
John enjoyed his livestock, gardening, woodworking, improving the land, and sharing his faith with others.
He is preceded in death by his father, James W. Nowlin.
Survivors include his mother, Laura Nowlin; brothers, James E. (Sherrill), Sam, and Doug (Shelly) all of Dutton; sisters, Laura Karges (Perry) of Hebron, ND, and Luella Vorce (Mike) of Lyle, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 11, at 1:00 PM at the Pondera Funeral Home.
