John Alfred Massey

John Alfred Massey came into this world on Friday, October 29th 1954, in New York City John left this life on Saturday, July 25th 2026 in Conrad, Montana. John's beloved Father was John Edward Massey, originally from Lowell, Massachusetts. John's dear Mother was Dorothy Anna (Massey) Lampton, from New York City. John's early years were spent living in New York, when at the age of 5, John and his family moved to La Mesa, California, just east of San Diego. John grew up in La Mesa with his brother Mark and sister Pamela. Those would be tumultuous years for us all, but John remained independent and often took the path less followed. John touched the lives of so many, always leaving an indelible impression, to say the least! John built a career around his love of cooking and became a professional Chef, working at some of the finest Restaurants in Southern California. Then, about 35 years ago, John moved to Montana. As he always said, "one of the best decisions I ever made!"

In Montana, John's life settled down and he began to pursue a career in Auto Sales and eventually Auto Dealership Management. He was very successful. In the last ten years of his life, John began to face health issues, but it never dampened his spirit! When a challenge arose, John would figure out a way around it. John had 2 children and a Stepson, all having survived him, Jacob, a career United States Army Veteran, Lainey Massey of Conrad and Jordan Geyer of Conrad, as well. His pride and love for them all, remained strong and evident, until the day he left this world. John's loving sister Pamela and his devoted brother Mark, his nephews David, Douglas and Gabriel and Niece Linzall, will miss him dearly.
