Gerald "Jerry" Halverson, 75, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away on December 17, 2025. Born on March 2, 1950, in Conrad, Montana, Jerry lived a life deeply rooted in the values of hard work, community, and a love for the outdoors.

Jerry grew up just outside of Valier, MT on the family farm. He graduated from Conrad High School before attending Northern University in Havre, Montana and then returning to the farm. He dedicated his professional life to farming and ranching, embodying the spirit of Montana’s agricultural heritage. His work reflected his commitment to the land and his appreciation for God's natural beauty that surrounded him.

A proud veteran of the Montana Air National Guard, Jerry served his country as an airplane electrician. Jerry met many friends during his time during his time in the service which he stayed in touch with until the end of his life.

Jerry was known for his outgoing and caring nature. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether sharing stories at a cafe over coffee or lending a helping hand to those in need, Jerry’s warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

An avid outdoorsman, Jerry found joy in hunting, camping, and just about any activity that allowed him to immerse himself in nature. These passions were often shared with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by those who knew him best.

Family was at the heart of Jerry’s life. He is survived by his son Jason Halverson and daughter-in-law Hannah; his sisters Marsha Huston (Dave) and Janice Baldwin (Bert); nieces and nephews Ron Miles, Annette Accord, Paul Huston, Melissa Stewart, Casey Huston, Robert Baldwin, and Dustin Baldwin; his grandchildren Cayden Halverson, Anneka Halverson, Calvin Halverson, and Donavin Barnes; as well as many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Edna and John "Herman" Halverson; his sister Edith Miles; and his son Joseph Halverson.

Jerry’s legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for the people and places that shaped his journey. May his memory bring comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
