Jeanne M. Baumann

Jeanne Maree Baumann, 58, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Memorial services will held Saturday, August 25, at 10:00AM at Pondera Funeral Home. A brunch at the Brady Community Hall will follow the service.

Jeanne was born January 27, 1960 in Conrad to Bruce and Helen Baumann.

She was raised and attended school in Brady. Jeanne enjoyed both academics, pep band and athletics.  She graduated from MSU Bozeman with a Bachelor of Science in Medical technology. After graduation,  Jeanne interned  at Saint James hospital in Butte.  Jeanne worked as a lab technician in Browning until she went onto to work at Fort Harrison for a couple years.  Jeanne then took the job as Lab Supervisor at the IHS Hospital in Browning.  She made several friends during her career of 30 + years.

In March of 2015, she retired and moved back to her parent’s home in Brady.  Jeanne enjoyed the gardening and yardwork there.  She soon began caring for feral cats in the area.  They never had it so good!  Jeanne attempted to spay or neuter and find appropriate homes for all she could. All animals, especially dogs and cats, were very important to her. Quite regularly Jeanne donated to animal shelters.  She served on the Brady Water Board and enjoyed serving her community.  Jeanne was an avid reader and enjoyed her time with her book club gatherings.

Survivors include her dear sister, Janette; special cat, Katie; and many good friends.

She is preceded in death by her parent; grandparents, John and Norma Baumann, Ray and Vera Woods; and brother-in-law, Terry VanLuchene.
