Janice Lee Lovering

September 26, 1951 — October 31, 2022

Valier

Janice Lee (Witcher) Lovering, 71, of Valier, died on October 31, 2022, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls.

She was born on 26 Sep 1951 in Butte, to Travis Witcher and Mozell (Crockett) Witcher. She was raised in Ennis and graduated high school there.

On 22 July 1972 in Kalispell, she married Darrell E. Lovering, and together they had 2 children, Andrew and Myria. This year, she and Darrell renewed their wedding vows on their 50th wedding anniversary.

Janice worked as a beautician for most of her early career. She started in Montana and worked in beauty shops in Germany in the 1980s when Darrell was stationed overseas.

She was a member of the Valier United Methodist Church and had a faith that endured throughout everything that she had been through in life.  She was dedicated to her children and her family; always supporting them and their goals.

A unique soul, Janice was a skilled fiber artist and enjoyed knitting booties for every baby born to any friend or family member.  She could knit, crochet, sew, quilt, spin wool, embroider, and so much more. She will be greatly missed.

Janice is survived by husband, Darrell; son, Andrew Lovering and his fiancée, Stacey Harris, of New Salisbury, Indiana; daughter, Myria (Lovering) Fraze and her husband, Kenny, of Louisville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Bryan Dyer, Jason Fraze, Trevor Dyer, and Isabella Fraze; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Tammy Witcher of Baker, Montana.

Janice was preceded by her parents; her stepfather, Herman Greydanus; her sister, Geraldine “Geri” (Witcher) Greydanus; her in-laws, Harry D. Lovering and Dorothea (Wickham) Lovering; and her grandparents, Harry W. and Ione (Shewmaker) Witcher, and Marvin and Martha Emma (Bennett) Crockett.

A memorial service will be held sometime next summer, when family members who live at a distance are able to attend. Memorial donations may be made Janice’s name to the American Diabetes Foundation at
