Fred C. Banka

Fred Charles Banka, 91, passed away on March 6, 2018 at the Pondera Extended Care Facility in Conrad.

Fred was born in Brady to Emily and Walter Banka on January 10, 1927. He married Ruth Evelyn Hanson on December 28, 1949.   They had four children. Fred joined the Navy in 1944 thru 1947. He farmed south of Conrad. Fred loved to travel and spent many winters in Arizona.

He was an active member of the Conrad Presbyterian Church, Conrad Masonic Lodge, and the Federal Land Bank Association Board of Director.

Survivors include children, Don, his children Jenifer and Jeff; Sharon (Steve) Cagle, their children Brent and Bryce; Douglas, his children Skylar and Christopher; Jan (John) Coffman; and 7 Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by wife, Ruth Banka; parents; brother, John; sister, Mildred; and great granddaughter, Addison Cagle.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery and a small private service is being planned.
