Ed Premo

Edward Premo was born August 4, 1921 in Powerslake, North Dakota on the farm.  He married Virginia N. Bykonen in 1941 in Plentywood, MT. They were married for 70 years. Together they had three children, Clifton, Sheila, and Larry. In 1947 the family moved to Kevin where Ed started working on the railroad.  In 1963, they moved to Shelby and Ed continued his work with the railroad. He retired after 38 ½ years of service in 1981.

Ed enjoyed working in his yard, working on cars, and playing KENO machines.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing guitar and mouth organ for dances in Kevin.

Ed enjoyed his 7 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a few great great grandkids.

Ed passed away Monday, June 19. He was 95 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Emma Premo; brothers and sister; wife, Virginia; daughter, Sheila; and granddaughter, Kim.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 24, at 10:00 AM at Whitted Funeral Chapel Shelby.
