Dennis Keith Paulson, 71, formerly of Seattle, Wash., passed away on March 27, 2025, in Shelby. Dennis passed away after a long battle with Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson's disease.
He was born in Scobey, Mont. on December 10, 1953, to the late Morris and Francis Paulson.
He is also survived by his two sons, Tyler Paulson and Ben Paulson; as well as his sister, Anita (Melvin) Anderson and brother, Donnie (LeeAnn) Paulson.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanita Benson and brother, Delano Paulson.
Dennis attended Scobey schools and graduated in 1971. He had a love for cars, boats, motorcycles and music. He worked for several auto body shops in Scobey including his older brother Delano's auto body shop. His on-the-job training at these auto body shops became his vocation in life.
He subsequently moved to Seattle and took a job as a body technician, then took over as shop foreman. Dennis eventually opened his own body shop in Seattle named Premier Auto Body.
Dennis loved music especially the blues, Savory Brown, Eric Clapton, the Beatles and John Lennon. A self-taught musician, he learned to play the guitar and he played in several bands in the Seattle area.
Dennis and his close friend Errol Modine both had 750 Honda's and they took a trip from Scobey to the west coast, down highway 101 to San Diego, back thru central California, Utah and back home. They had many good stories to tell about that trip.
Dennis had good friends in the Seattle area. Jeff and Tan West, Marty Blackstone, Rob Schump, Errol Modine, and family, Tyler, Ben and Panita came to visit Dennis in Shelby in his final days. His brother Don was at his bedside when he passed.
Graveside will be Saturday, June 14, at 10:00 am at Scobey Cemetery. A reception at Nemont Friendship Room will follow the service.
