Clyde H Woodward

August 22, 1932 — November 8, 2012

Clyde Hadley Woodward, 80, a retired Baptist Pastor from Shelby, passed away Thursday, November 8, at a Great Falls hospital. Memorial services were held Sunday, November 11, at the Whitted Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Paul Lacky officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. Harrison Veterans Cemetery at Helena.

Survivors include sons, Thomas Alan Woodward of Paradise, CA and Timothy Aaron Woodward of Hillsboro, OR; adopted daughter, Roberta Fawn Burtness of Shelby; sisters, Nancy Lyons and Bonnie Rogers; grandchildren, Kathleen Woodward Combs, Rachel, Elizabeth and Jake Woodward; adopted grandson, Delbert Feldhut; great-grandchildren, Azora Combs and Raizelle Woodward.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara.

Clyde was born August 22, 1932 at Chico, CA, to Bryan & Thelma Jane (Montgomery) Woodward where he grew up and graduated from high school, and later from Golden Gate Seminary. He later served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Barbara Black December 19, 1964 at Folsom, CA.

Clyde was an Associate Southern Baptist Pastor for churches in Chico, CA and Grants Pass, Oregon. He also served as Chaplin for the different hospitals at Grants Pass. He retired in 2002 and moved to Shelby.

Clyde was a kind and loving husband and father who loved the Lord. He faithfully dedicated himself to the service of the Lord as a Pastor and Associate Pastor. He participated in the volunteer bible study program at the local prison and conducted bible studies at the Heritage Center in Shelby.
