Clarence Metcalfe

Clarence R Metcalfe, 96, a retired farmer, passed away at the Marias Care Center in Shelby on May 15, 2013, of natural causes. Services are pending.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mae (Beaumont) Metcalfe of Shelby; stepsons, David Bury and Keith Bury, both of Ventura, CA; niece, Nayda Puffer of Shelby; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mike and Ralph; and stepson, Fred Bury.
Clarence was born March 15, 1917 at Diamond Springs, Kansas, to Mike and Sarah (Dishaine) Metcalfe. He grew up at Castle Grove, Kansas and attended school through the 8 th grade. Clarence was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness. He spent his life farming and collecting his treasures.
