Carol Vivian Lesiak (Brisbin) passed away peacefully on 10th April 2026 at the Logan Health Assisted Living facility in Chester.
Carol was born in Helena on December 24, 1939 to “Bud” (Walter) & Vivian Brisbin. Carol was the eldest daughter of 4 children born to Bud & Vivian Brisbin, siblings Donna Hixon(D), Linda Kelly(D) & Mike (Michael) Brisbin. The Brisbin family moved to Three Forks where Carol met and married her high school sweetheart, Bill (William) J. Lesiak, son of William & Esther Lesiak of Three Forks, on May 26,1958. Carol & Bill then moved to Salina, Kansas while Bill was in the Air Force 1957-61 where they celebrated the birth of their first daughter, Julie Ann (Schneiter). Moving back to Three Forks they added Cindy Jo (Haney), Bill (William) W Lesiak, and Kathleen Lynne (Coggins). They moved to Shelby in 1966 and completed their family with Steven M. Lesiak, Sharon M (Young) and David S Lesiak.
The Lesiak family resided in Shelby for many years with all seven children attending and graduating from Shelby High School. Bill sadly passed away at the age of 57yrs on January 15,1996. Carol and Bill loved their big family. Carol was an amazing homemaker, known for her love of kids, animals and being a wonderful cook who could make even the most basic meal taste great. After Bill died, Carol became quite the traveler and made her home in various places in Montana and Spokane, before residing in Chester for her final years.
The only thing Carol loved as much as her family was her love and amazing knowledge of antiques. She devoured, retained and applied that skill with passion and was a natural historian when it came to antiques, she would spend hours researching information and looking for a ‘good find’. She didn't just know her antiques she lived and breathed them.
She is survived by a large family, which includes all seven children and their spouses, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Rest in peace Mom.
Thank you to all staff at the Logan Nursing Home for all the wonderful care you provided for our Mom.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to the charitable foundation at Logan Health Assisted Living Facility in Chester, Mt or donations to the Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center in Great Falls, Mt.
Interment will be in the Forestvale Cemetery with her Mom and Dad in Helena, without a service.
