Brody James Warrenburg, age 15, passed away on March 2nd, 2024 due to a tragic car accident. Brody was born on May 3rd, 2008 in Billings. He was raised by his mother, Erin Warrenburg, and father, Caleb Kovatch.
In Brody’s younger years he was involved in wrestling and kick boxing, played a year of basketball and was a great hockey player. Brody attended junior high and high school in Valier, where he both played on and managed the football team. Brody enjoyed fishing, kayaking, swimming, and spending time with his friends and family at Lake Francis. Brody delighted in the young and the old and could strike up a conversation with anyone. A distinct feature of Brody was his laugh which would bubble up from deep down and erupt into a contagious roar. Brody found joy in helping the youth, especially his younger brothers and cousins. Since he was very young, Brody loved photography and during his time in Valier he spent many hours behind the lens taking photos for the Panthers while trying his best not to drop the camera! Brody’s biggest love of all time was his huge collection of Hot Wheel’s and learning anything he could about cars.
Brody is survived by his mother, Erin Warrenburg; father, Caleb Kovatch of Great Falls; great-grandmother, Donna Minarik of Valier; brothers, Taevyn and Keagan Kovatch of Great Falls, and Izaak Kellogg of Laurel; grandparents, Francis “Zeak” Geiger of Glendive, Steve and Lona Warrenburg of Billings; aunts and uncles, Ashly Warrenburg and Travis Berumen of Billings; Freddie-Leigh and Jordan Griffin of Grand Forks, ND; Emily and Adam Wentz of Billings, Teight Madler of Watford City, ND; numerous great aunts and great uncles; and many, many cousins.
