Beverly Jean Cramer, age 85, of Chester, Montana, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at PeaceHealth Hospice House in Longview, Washington.
Bev was born December 11, 1940, in Great Falls, Montana, to Edward Thomas Lynch and Ethel Jean Rafter. She was never afraid of hard work and could always be counted on to get things done.
When Bev was in the eighth grade, her family moved to Rudyard, Montana, where she quickly gained a lifelong best friend in Donna (Shipman) Nealy. The two were inseparable and eventually married best friends—Ed Cramer and Boyd Nealy.
For more than 40 years, Bev worked alongside her husband, Ed, running the family farms in Chester, Montana, and Frontier, Saskatchewan. While living in Chester, she was an extremely active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and its women’s circle. She was also exceptionally supportive of the school, music, and sports programs. Sports banquets were her specialty, and she took great care to ensure every detail was done to the best of her ability.
Nothing made Bev’s day more than playing cards and games, vacationing, shopping, or simply spending time with her family and dear friends. She loved making every holiday special with baking treats and home decorations. She was well known from Washington to Montana to Colorado for showing up and cheering on her children and grandchildren at their many events. Her family meant everything to her, and she treasured every opportunity to be there for them.
In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Lynch and Edward Lynch Jr. and his wife, Shirley; and her sister, Linda Olson and her husband, Leonard.
Bev is survived by her husband, Edwin Cramer; sister and brother-in-law, Lois Gorder and William; daughter, Cari Cramer and Chris Fry; son, Todd and Shauna Cramer; daughter, Cristi Kanenwischer; son, Mark and Carin Cramer; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. at O’Connor Funeral Chapel, 2425 8th Avenue North, Great Falls, Montana. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls.
Bev leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, family, and a lifetime of memories that will continue to be shared by all who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Bev’s memory to Logan Health Center in Chester, Montana, or the Alzheimer’s Association. Her family regularly participates in the ALZ Longest Day in honor of Bev and Agnes Cramer.
