Austin James Prewett was born December 3, 1995 to Julie and Rob Prewett. He put up a tremendously courageous battle and passed peacefully surrounded by family on May 14, 2025. Austin, you are our hero.
Austin was born in Great Falls. He was raised in Conrad. From the time he was little he was on the go. He didn’t let diabetes slow him down. He may have been small in stature. But he made up for it with enormous heart. He loved adventure, cooking, animals, fishing, hunting, anything adrenaline prone. Especially anything with a motor to go fast; Side by sides, quads, and pickups. His smile was infectious. The one smile was trouble. If you saw that smile, you know. If it was accompanied by that certain giggle, hold on tight, it’s about to start.
His friends and girlfriend, Allison, were important to him. They were there through his hard times. He leaned on them to keep his way. Allison was his rock in these worst of times. He was proud and lucky to have someone caring, loving, and spunky by his side. You were his one love, spending 9 wonderful years together.
His heart was tremendously large. Caring for all around him. To his great grandparents who he would help do anything, the kid that just needed a friend, the little cranky lady at the restaurant having a rough day and offering to buy her meal. He put a smile on many faces, in which made him happy.
The last 6 years with kidney failure were tremendously hard. Like the fighter he is, he gave it everything with hopes for a successful transplant.
He is survived by his parents, Julie and Rob Prewett; His girlfriend, Allison Hanson; her parents, Ken(Brenda) Hanson; and brother, Daniel Hanson; grandparents, Steve(Carol)Bucher, Ron(Anita) Prewett, and Craig Dyer; Aunt Wendy Prewett; Uncle Dusty(Daniele) Dyer; cousins, Justin, Whitney, Clayton, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Tanner, Ajay, Taya; numerous other family members and friends.
Was preceded in death by great grandparents; Darlene and Lyman Denzer, Lucile and Clyde Prewett, Betty and Leo Iverson, Sally and Ray Dyer; uncle, Randy Prewett; and grandma, Debbie Dyer.
Graveside services will be Saturday, May 31, at 1:00 pm at Hillside Cemetery. A reception to celebrate Austin's life will follow at the Pondera Shooting Sports Building.
