Dolores Blunk Kellogg, age 90, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Pondera Medical Center Extended Care. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 29, 2018, at 4:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad. Asper Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Dolores was born on September 20, 1927, in Conrad, Montana, to Alfred and Elizabeth (Jensen) Blunk. After the passing of both of her parents at an early age, she lived with her grandfather, Jens Jensen, on his farm in the Manson Community northwest of Conrad. During her high school years, she lived in Conrad graduating from Conrad High School in 1946. She married Richard Kellogg on November 30, 1947. After marriage they moved to the farm west of Conrad where she raised three boys. She worked at Valentine’s Dress Shop, Robbins & Gust Department Store, and was the clerk for School District #31 for many years. She was a charter member of the Pondera Food Panty, a life member of Victory Chapter 86 Order of Eastern Star, a member of Daughter of the Nile Sapphira Temple ’79, Women of the Moose, Conrad Garden Club, Friends of the Library, Prairie West Home Extension Club, and the First Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and active in the Presbyterian Women. She loved taking care of her yard, garden, flowers, and all her animals.
Survivors include her three sons, Rick (Donna) Kellogg of Brady, Greg (Della) Kellogg of Conrad, and Mark (Theresa) Kellogg of Farmington, MO; eight grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Hill of Helena, Jim (Jamie) Kellogg of Dell, Joe (Marcia) Kellogg of Highland, NY, Mike (Rainey) Kellogg, Matt Kellogg, and Cory Kellogg all of Bozeman, Kevin Kellogg of Farmington, MO, and Connor Kellogg of Silverthorne, CO; five great grandchildren, Connor, Corinne, Kinzley, Hayley, and Brooke Kellogg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kellogg, her parents, and her sister, Gloria Ann Penson.
Memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad, Intermountain (Children’s Home) in Helena, or charity of your choice.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 29, at 4:00 PM at Conrad First Presbyterian Church.
A reception at the church will follow the service.
